INGREDIENTS

2 Tbsp Butter
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
1 Tbsp Thyme 
1 tbsp Chives 
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp old bay 
¼  tsp Caraway Seeds
¼ tsp salt
1 - Sourdough Loaf sliced into thin slices at a diagonal 
¼ cup - shredded Parmesan Cheese

NEXT LEVEL TIP:

Be sure to use whole Caraway Seeds. When toasting spicing its better to toast them whole then grind them your self the aroma ad flavor will be much pronounced.

 


DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 425 Degrees Fahrenheit  

  2. In a small saute pan over medium heat toast Caraway Seeds, until fragrant. 

  3. Reduce heat to low and add Butter to pan, and gently stir until butter is fully melted.

  4. Once butter is melted, remove from heat and add remaining spices and herbs. 

  5. Stir gently to incorporate

  6. Let cool 2-3 minutes, 

  7. Once cool add olive oil and stir to incorporate.

  8. Brush mixture onto sliced bread.

  9. Lay in single layer on sheet tray, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

  10. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

  11. Removed from oven let cool slightly and enjoy!

NEXT LEVEL TIP:

Turn these into delicious croutons! Cut bread into 1/2 cubes, toss in butter herb mixture, and bake in a single layer on sheet tray. Keep them lightly covered after cooling to keep from going stale.
