INGREDIENTS

24 oz Frozen Green Beans, French Cut Style

12 oz Velveeta, Processed Cheese Product- 1/2 in cub

1 Tbsp Fresh Thyme Leaves, Rough Chopped

1 tsp Granulated Garlic

1 tsp Ground Mustard

½ tsp Black Pepper

1/4 tsp Kosher Salt

NEXT LEVEL TIP:

If you don’t have fresh thyme its okay, you can used dried. When replacing fresh herbs with dried herbs, it’s best to use a 1 Tbsp Fresh herb to 1 tsp Dried ratio. For this recipe I would do 1 tsp mixed in, and then still garnish with 1/2 tsp of dried. Doing this will ensure that you get the aroma of the thyme as you are serving and eating the Green Beans.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat Oven to 375 degrees.

  2. In a 9x9 baking dish combine, Green Beans, Velveeta, Garlic, Mustard, Salt, Pepper and half Fresh Thyme, reserver other half for garnish.

  3. Toss together until evenly coated by spices and the Velveeta is dispersed evenly between the Green Beans.

  4. Cover with plastic wrap then foil.

  5. place in oven and cook for 35-40 minutes.

  6. Remove From oven, check to see if Velveeta is completely melted. if it is not place back in oven for 5 minute increments or until melted.

  7. if Melted stir to combine and create a creamy, cheese sauce that will coat the Green Beans.

  8. Let cool slightly, serve and enjoy!

NEXT LEVEL TIP:

If you are not wanting use that much of the Velveeta, you can cut in half and then replace the other half with a 1/3 cup of cream. Heat it on the stove and add it to the Cheese Beans before putting it in the oven. Be sure to give it a stir a few times during the cooking., This will stretch out the Velveeta, but keep it rich and creamy.
