Spiced Candy Beer Nuts
INGREDIENTS
2 lbs Mixed Nuts
½ Cup Salted Butter
½ Cup Bohemian Kolch Beer
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp Honey
1 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
½ tsp Kosher Salt
½ tsp Black Pepper
NEXT LEVEL TIP:
Any blend of nuts will work great, so grab your favorite blend or make your own from the bulk aisle at the grocery store. Be sure to get either blanched or roasted, but not salted. If salted is the only option, salt to taste!!
DIRECTIONS
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.
Melt butter over medium Heat in a small sauce pan.
Add Beer and bring to a simmer.
Add Spices, Honey and Brown Sugar.
Stir to combine and simmer for 5 minutes – stirring occasionally.
Pour over Nuts and toss to coat.
Put the Nuts on a sheet tray in a single layer.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Remove From oven, Let cool slightly and gently stir.
Spread back into a single layer to cool, and enjoy!
NEXT LEVEL TIP:
The nuts will be slightly sticky and soft when they first come out of the oven, do not stress though as they cool they crisp right up and have the perfect crunch! Be sure to store them in a covered storage container in a dry area, after they have COMPLETELY cooled, or just in a bowl on the counter they’ll be eaten soon enough!
